coffee & bowties

"Uhh, hey it's Blaine! I just moved to Lima Heights from Montreal, sometimes a change is good. I have a knack for singing and dancing, boxing, fencing, running, polo (yes the sport) and bowties as well. And can I just say that coffee is just simply amazing, I love coffee shops too, the atmosphere is so peaceful and creative. I just want to make art and help people!"

me—sammy—-evans:

Sam had been raised to believe that standing people up was a bad offense, and he couldn’t help but feeling bad at not making it to meet Blaine. He was making it up to him, and seeing him today, though. Sam replied to the last few texts Blaine sent him, and let his family know he was going out, and no, he wouldn’t be late. He made his way in his old, battered car. When he found the burger place, he parked and the key almost got stuck in the ignition. Sam felt a surge of annoyance and almost hit the steering wheel, but decided against it when he thought the thing might break. He shook his head at his wreck of a car, laughing softly while locking it, even though he doubted anyone would try to steal it.

When he opened the door and made a quick scan of the place, he didn’t find Blaine, so he went ahead and sat to wait for him, feeling slightly awkward as he did so. Thankfully, a very bitter and bored waiter came to take his order, and he found himself looking more at the prices than the actual food choices. He ended up choosing water and a rather simple burger, the waiter raising an eyebrow. He must’ve not been used to having seventeen year old boys ordering like they were girls. Sam rolled his eyes at him, feeling at least a little accomplished at making the man feel something else than boredom about him. When he saw Blaine coming in, he smiled brightly and waved at him, not realizing he was still wearing his Baskin Robbins cap. “Hey, man!” He greeted. “How’re you?”

Blaine and Sam were hanging out today for the first time, and Blaine really didn’t mean to be late, he however just got caught up at home.  His father had always picked the most inopportune times to call and want to talk to him about not to be in New York.  His father was the type of guy to want the best for his sons, however when it came to Blaine he was extremely strict.  And since Blaine was already running late, he just agreed with what his father was saying on the phone because he didn’t have time for a giant argument at this moment.

Hanging up when his father was done yapping in his ear, Blaine rolled his eyes and slipped his cell phone back into his pocket.  He reached down and tugged at the bottom of his simple white collared t-shirt before he slicked his hair back and exited the loft he was fairly used to by now.  His older brother Cooper was rarely ever home and Blaine usually always lived in the large place by himself, something he wasn’t too fond of since he didn’t have many friends just yet.  When Blaine had finally arrived in the Burger place, he slipped his keys into his pocket and looked around, and when he finally spotted Sam he smiled and walked over to him.  “Sam, hey!”  He said as he took a seat across from the other kid.  “I’m good, how are you?”  Blaine smiled some at him, and the waiter came over and gave Sam his drink as he looked at Blaine.  “Oh, I’ll have a coke zero and uh, whatever he’s having.”  The waiter nodded as he walked away, Blaine looked back over to Sam and placed his hands on the table.

Sebastian was probably going too far, but was that going to stop him in any way? Absolutely not. He got the hint as Blaine attempted to push him off, dropping his arms and taking a step back, he knew he was going to have to ease into his charm, but he had all the confidence in the world it’d pay off later. “Dancing?” He said, yelling over the music with sarcasm echoing in his tone.

Yet, as of this moment, Blaine’s words proposed themselves as a struggled to wrap his head around, and as he contemplated somewhat of a response, confusion did not shy away from his face, “Are you honestly trying to cox me into believing you’re straight?” A hand reached out again, grabbing hold of the boy’s bowtie and smiling at it momentarily before making eye contact once again, “We are in a gay bar, you know?” His classic smirk reappeared, only briefly this time as he leaned in once again, whispering into the Blaine’s ear after a finger came up to his own lips and indicated a shh. “Don’t worry. You’re secret is safe with me. If one would even bother to call it a secret. Either way, I think your puppy dog eyes and crazy smile are too adorable to hide in a closet, just saying.”

As Sebastian spoke, Blaine couldn’t believe that this was actually happening.  Sure, what he wore didn’t scream ‘I’M STRAIGHT BUT ONLY IN SECRET!’  No way, that wasn’t the case.  And he tried hard to ignore the devious was that Sebastian had thrown the compliments at him.  Poor Blaine was trying to hide so far back in the closet that he would eventually try and forget all about it, however, Sebastian was right…. the shirts, the tight pants and definitely the bow ties.  What straight guy wears a bow tie on a regular day with regular clothes?  None.  Way to go for failing at pretending to hide your secret, Blaine.  His eyes glistened with a bit of shock as he continued to hear Sebastian talk.  And as the room began to spin, he felt more and more vulnerable around here.  Looking around the room, Blaine felt like everyone was staring at him, however he was just being paranoid now.

He pushed Sebastian away as best he could.  “I don’t think this was a good idea coming here…. I’m… s-sorry.”  He said as he shook his head and stormed out of the bar, walking through the parking lot to look for his car.  His secret wasn’t something that he needed to world to know yet, he wasn’t ready to come out, and if there was even a chance of what happened back in Montreal to happen here, Blaine was taking all of his stuff and moving, again.  He didn’t like to run from his problems, but he didn’t want to be the laughing stock of the town either.

Fumbling with his keys in his hands, Blaine stood by his car as he tried hard to see straight.  Maybe driving home now wasn’t such the best of ideas.

Especially if you’re going to talk like that, still no.  That’s just not right, and that’s not how you make friends.  I’m sorry your feelings are hurt.

blainers-warbler-anderson:

Perhaps Sebastian’s personality was a bit too much for him, but as he heard what he was saying, Blaine just didn’t feel a connection with him, however friends would’ve been fine for him.  A light blush crept over his cheeks however when Sebastian had called it sexy.  There wasn’t really anyone else who had ever used those words with him, and he was still trying to get used to the fact that he had to learn to trust people again if he wanted to make friends.  And Sebastian had moved closer to him, Blaine wasn’t really okay with this, but he wasn’t the type to make a bad impression.   “I really don’t…”  he began but as he looked up Sebastian was holding his hand out, as if he wasn’t going to take no for an answer.  Sighing and then rolling his eyes, Blaine took another sip of his drink as he stood from the stool and danced his way onto the small dance floor where other people were dancing as well.

After about a half an hour, Blaine looked over at Sebastian who seemed to be having a good time as well as he was.  Blaine kept on dancing as his bow tie hung open around his neck and the first two buttons of his shirt were opened, he felt good and dancing like this where no one cared about what he was doing made him feel even better.  “This place is great!”  Blaine shouted as he seemed to be a bit buzzed from the intake of beer that he had, it only took one, two at the most, he wasn’t a heavy drinker and he didn’t like to do it a lot, so when he did do it, it was for fun only.

Dancing was easy, but maintaining close enough to Blaine proposed itself as a struggle to Sebastian. Noticing the already somewhat drunk state of the boy, he took that as an advantage, taking yet another step closer and wrapping his arms around Blaine’s waist, he pulled the shorter boy towards him, smiling at the contact of this chests. He leaned in once again, his lips almost too close to Blaine’s as his eyes travelled back and forth from his hazel diamonds to plush lips, “Having fun?”

He was probably pushing too far, but considering how much he was enjoying the night so far, a few more desperate moves might actually pay off. Yet, as he stared into those eyes for some sign of unease his fingers travelled downward, inching it’s way to Blaine’s ass and giving it a much rightful squeeze.

The look in Sebastian’s eyes, and the way that he moved closer to him made Blaine feel a bit uncomfortable, however they were only dancing, maybe Sebastian was just as passionate about dancing as Blaine was about singing?  He didn’t know, and he figured since they were both on the dance floor and enjoying themselves, why not stir up a conversation to try and make a new friend?  “Yeah!”  Blaine yelled loudly over the music that blared from all around them.  Blaine moved his hips back and forth to the rhythm of the beat, he loved this.  “This place… it’s so cool!”  He said as he could feel a bit lightheaded from the beer and amount he’s been moving around without any food in his body at the time.

However, when he felt Sebastian squeeze his butt, he stopped and put his hands up in defense, slightly pushing the other back from him a bit.  The dancing has ceased, for now.  “Wh-what are you doing?”  Blaine asked as he raised a brow.  Inside he felt completely nervous, he couldn’t let everyone here know his secret, especially not Sebastian… not with the freaky way he was acting.  “I’m not into that, so please, don’t do it again.”  It seemed like the only logical thing to say  at the moment because poor Blaine was lost now and didn’t know what to say.

Since the beginning you were there for me, being my friend and knowing that I was unsure of  everything you led me the right way.  We became close, and I wish I could thank you but my words have started to fail me already, maybe a song will do? So please don’t think I’m completely insane for this but I’m starting to have these feelings for you, and I think I just need to get them out and say them.  All I know is that I just need to see your face again…
